Full terms and conditions


  1. 1. This Promotion is open to United Kingdom residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of ViniPortugal, CUBE Communications (UK) Limited their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.                                                       
  2. 2. Promotion Period: 00:00 on1st September 2015 to 23.59 on 31st October 2015.
    1. 1. All entries received during the Promotion Period will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip to Portugal (“Prize”) see clause 7 for details.
  3. 3. Purchase necessary to enter, internet access will be required. 
  4. 4. To enter: Purchase a promotional bottle of Portuguese wine with a promotional neck collar.  You must retain your neck collar and till receipt dated before your entry into the promotion as without this you will not be able to be verified as a winner.  Visit and enter the unique code (found on the inside of the promotional neck collar) then submit your contact details. 
  5. 5. Unique codes can only be used once.  Maximum one of each different prize per person.
  6. 6. Please retain your neck collar together with your till receipt highlighting the purchase of the promotional bottle dated prior to the date of your online entry, as your receipt and neck collar will be required for winner verification. Winners will not be verified without the relevant neck collar and till receipt.
  7. 7. Prize: One winner will win a 3-night trip for two to Portugal. Prize includes return economy flights from any London airport (at Promoter’s selection) to Portugal, 3 nights’ accommodation (twin or double room, including breakfast) and return private transfers airport to hotel in Portugal.  The trip includes £500 spending money.  Prize may not be taken over bank holidays, between 20 December 2015 and 4 January 2016 or over St. Valentine’s Day (14 February).  Guest must be 18 years of age at date of travel.  Trip must be taken by 30 June 2016, and two months’ notice must be given of desired dates.  See clause 11 for additional details on the trip.   
  8. 8. All prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize or reward (as applicable) of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances. 
  9. 9. Winner Selection:  All valid entries received during the relevant promotion period will be submitted into a prize draw to be conducted by an independent person.  Winner selection will take place within 5 working days of the end of the relevant promotion period.
  10. 10. Further Main Prize Details:
    1. 1. The winner and any guest will be required to provide proof of age and identity and any documentation as reasonably required by the Promoter in order to validate their eligibility to claim the prize;
    2. 2. Winner and guest must be over 18 years of age at the time of travel;
    3. 3. If the winner is unable to accept the prize, no compensation will be provided;
    4. 4. All travel bookings will be made via the Promoter’s nominated travel agency and must be made at least 8 weeks in advance of proposed travel dates; 
    5. 5. Once a booking has been confirmed no changes are permitted;
    6. 6. If a booking is cancelled no alternative tickets will be issued;
    7. 7. The winner is responsible for ensuring that they are in possession of appropriate travel insurance, valid passports (minimum 2 clear pages, minimum 6 months validity from proposed date of return), visas if required and all health or other Government requirements prior to departure; 
    8. 8. All travel is subject to the airline’s standard terms and conditions. Once booked, flights cannot be altered or amended and no refunds are possible; 
    9. 9. Prize flights cannot be used in conjunction with any airline loyalty programme, any other discount, discount coupon(s) or voucher(s), promotion(s) or special offer; 
    10. 10. Once flight tickets have been issued, the Promoter, shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, or any other circumstances beyond the control of the Promoter or travel companies; and
    11. 11. All expenses not explicitly set out in these terms and conditions will be the responsibility of the winner.
  11. 11. Winner Notification: Winners will be contacted within 2 working days of the date of the relevant draw, using the contact details as provided on entering the promotion and will have 14 days from the date of initial contact to respond to the Promoter confirming (1) eligibility (2) evidence of receipt and neck collar and (3) acceptance of the prize.  If a winner is not contactable or fails to respond to initial winner notification within 14 days of the notification, the prize may be reallocated by the Promoter to a reserve winner selected in the same manner who will be required to respond with required confirmations. 
  12. 12. Winners will be required to submit their winning promotional neck collar, unique code and till receipt.
  13. 13. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late entries, or entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be accepted.  Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery.  The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
  14. 14. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted.  Incomplete or illegible entries, bulk entries, entries by or via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to submit entries), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted.  If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to generate additional entries in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
  15. 15. Winner publication:  The names and locations of confirmed winners will be available at from 5 November 2015 until 3 December 2015.
  16. 16. Winners agree to take part in publicity in connection with this promotion. If winners do not want their name to be published they should inform the Promoter when accepting their prize.
  17. 17. Data Protection: the Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the prize draw and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. Your personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Click here for the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.  
  18. 18. The decision of the Promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. 19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries.
  20. 20. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the prize draws. 
  21. 21. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims suffered by entrants as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting a prize. The Promoter further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person relating to or resulting from participation with this promotion.
  22. 22. If for any reason any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  23. 23. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion), the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
  24. 24. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
  25. 25. Entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  26. 26. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
